The educational module of the Start Your Business with Moscow project has been launched

On March 4, the School of International Entrepreneurship for Students of Moscow Universities "Start your business with Moscow" held the first lesson of the educational module.

For the first time, students of the capital's universities who were selected for the project gathered in the Large Conference Hall of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This year, 134 students (62 foreigners, 72 Russians) representing 31 universities and 38 countries participated in the School.

As Vladimir Platonov, President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reminded the participants of the event, the Start Your Business with Moscow project has been implemented by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the second year in a row. Last year, only international students took part in it, and this year it was decided to expand it at the expense of Russian youth. The project is supported by the Moscow Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy as part of a grant from the Mayor of Moscow. "Our main task is to help young people acquire the necessary knowledge and skills necessary for entrepreneurial activity. To be successful in modern conditions, you will have to study all your life, and the sooner you get the necessary competencies, including in the field of entrepreneurship, the more successful your career path will be," said Vladimir Platonov.

Natalia Neporada, Executive Director of the International Employers Club, said that thanks to the change in the composition of the School's students, the children have the opportunity to make interesting, international and versatile projects. She urged the students not to be afraid to adjust the initially stated ideas, to work in teams, as this would be, in her opinion, a very valuable experience. The expert also announced the launch of a Student Business Club, where graduates of the first and second streams of the School can communicate, finalize their projects, and make useful acquaintances. "Today you entered these doors for the first time and now we hope you will stay with us for a long time," Natalia Neporada summed up her speech.

Roman Dunko, Vice President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Project Implementation and Commercial Development, stressed that the project team took a very thoughtful approach to selecting teachers for the educational module - among them are real "stars" of business education representing the BEAC ecosystem and the Bizmal investment platform; the teaching staff includes the best representatives of RUDN University, HSE, and business practitioners who are ready to share with his extensive business experience both in our country and in the global market. Roman Dunko recommended that the children not only attend classes, but also be active, involved, make new contacts and absorb new knowledge.

This year's educational module consists of 9 classes, the main topics of which will be project management, international business environment, business modeling and planning, marketing, sales, financial, legal and accounting support, team building, networking and idea testing, business communication and career development features. Upon completion, all students who attended the lectures will receive certificates. The most active students who have submitted the most promising projects will be selected for the second stage, the acceleration stage. With the help of experienced mentors, team and individual projects will be "wrapped up" and "packaged", after which their defense will take place. The next stage will be the opportunity for the winners and finalists of the project to complete internships at Moscow enterprises and at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

After completing the introductory part, Vladislav Krupoderov, the first lecturer, PhD in Economics, Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Director of the Jet Company, conducted the first lesson in an interactive mode. The students actively asked the teacher questions, shared their vision of the specifics of doing business in Russia, and justified their point of view on various aspects of entrepreneurship.

The next class at the School will be held this Thursday, March 6.
